I’ve noticed that a lot of my posts lately have been “How To’s” and “List” posts. Don’t get me wrong, I love writing these but I want to make my blog a little bit more personal and share some life updates too!
I’m only really watching two shows religiously at the moment: Riverdale and Greys Anatomy. I’ve been addicted to Riverdale from episode 1 and I hate having to wait a week between episodes!
I’m super-loyal to Greys Anatomy – I’ve seen all 14 seasons right the way through and I will probably stick with it until the bitter end! I was gutted to hear that Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew are leaving at the end of the current season.
Capshaw and Drew were both playing characters who gave representation to communities which are significantly under-represented in the media (Capshaw’s character Arizona is a member of the LGBTQ community and has a physical disability and Drew plays April, who is a devout Christian). I think it’s a real shame that a show that usually champions diversity is writing out such key players.
Ok so the title of this post is a little tiiiiny bit of clickbait! I’m not getting married.
I went to Canterbury, England over St Patrick’s weekend to see my friend Emma get married. It was a really great weekend and a beautiful wedding. It was so surreal to see one of my oldest and best friends get married but I am SO SO SO happy for them and I can’t wait to watch them grow together.
If you ever get the chance to visit Canterbury – definitely take it. It’s full of old cobbled streets and it’s basically a cuteness overload.
Madison Beer – I saw someone tweeting about her EP so I thought I’d check her out. I’m so glad I did, it’s amazing. Dead is my favourite song from it, but I’d recommend listening to it all!
Nadine – I was a HUGE Girls Aloud fan, I still am and Nadine’s cover of September Song gives me SHIVERS. I’m going to see her on tour in May in Belfast and I cannot wait.
Wicked Soundtrack – Since we saw Wicked while we were in London I’ve been OBSESSED with the soundtrack.
ARGH. House hunting as been one of the main things going on in my life over the last few weeks/months. Our tenancies end in June and July so we’re trying to find somewhere new to live.
We had fallen completely in love with a house online. Our hearts were set on it and in our eyes, we were only going to the viewing to confirm that we loved it. Unfortunately it turned out to be nothing like it was in the pictures – it looked like it needed to be knocked down and rebuilt as opposed to a fresh lick of paint. It was really disappointing and it’s put us right back to square one.
While I was visiting Canterbury – I got to eat so many amazing meals but a special mention has to go to this Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough Utopia from Creams. Creams is a luxury dessert cafe – they have sundaes, waffles, cakes, crepes, gelato and just about everything sweet!
I added a crunchy peanut butter topping to my cookie dough, I just couldn’t resist! The picture doesn’t even do it justice.
If you’re ever in Canterbury, go to Creams.
Products I’m Loving
Revolution Beauty Conceal and Define Concealer – This is the drugstore concealer that has been sold out all around the country and I can tell you that it’s 100% worth the hype. I’m really prone to dark circles under my eyes – miraculously, this concealer covers them complete and it doesn’t crease AT ALL.
Lush Grease Lightning – I find when I’m travelling and using planes, trains and tubes, the dirt in the air causes my skin to break out. Every time I feel another spot coming, I apply just a little bit of Grease Lightning and it dries it right up.
