WELLLLL it’s been a while since I’ve written a beauty post. I wanted to wait until I’d discovered some new products to talk about so I wasn’t talking about the same products over and over again. That’s no fun for me and it’s DEFINITELY no fun for you to read about!
Summer is finally here! For most of us, that means a bit of a shake-up of our beauty routines! I’d love to be one of those people who can get away with wearing no make-up/less make-up in the summer. Sadly my poor skin pigmentation and unfortunately-placed acne is an all year round thing!
I’ve put together a list of must-have summer beauty products which will keep you looking and feeling fresh in the warmer weather! Let’s get to it!

Obsession Make-Up London Matter Face Primer
There is nothing worse than sweating all of your make-up off before you’ve even got to work. It’s so important to invest in a good primer to keep your make-up intact on even the hottest days. That doesn’t mean it has to be an expensive primer. At the moment I’m using – it’s only £7 and it does the job and then some! I love the matte primer but they also sell a similar one designed to minimise pores and create a smooth base.
The same goes for your eyes – your eyelids get oily more quickly in the sun so using a good eye primer to keep your eyeshadow on all day/night is a MUST. The one I’ve been using lately is by P Louise and it’s in the shade “02 Rumour”. Not only does it keep your eyeshadow in place all day, it also helps your eyeshadow to blend out more easily and makes the colours pop! As if you needed further convincing – YouTuber NikkieTutorials has been RAVING about it!
I use the shade “Peach Bellini”. My friend Rachael gave me this blush and it’s become my go-to since I ran out of Coralista by Benefit! The shades are basically the same.
This blush gives your cheeks a light but subtle glow which is perfect for summer. I’m super excited to share this product with you because this is the first product I’ve tried by Model Co. I’m really impressed with it and I can’t wait to try out more of their range.
A nude lip suits every season. I’ve been wearing this shade almost every day. It’s a creamy formula which leaves a glossy finish. The thing I love most about this lipstick is that you can apply it lightly for a hint of colour or you can build it up to full intensity (my personal preference!) Plus it’s only £3.00!
I’ve talked about this spray before on my blog before – it’s the best one I’ve ever used. This spray protects your make-up from the effects of heat and humidity, which is exactly what you need during the summer.
One of my work colleagues bought me this for Christmas and I’ve worn it basically non-stop ever since. It’s a really fruity summer smell and it stays on a really long time considering it’s only £9.99! If you buy it from Superdrug, you can get the perfume in a gift set with a matching body lotion. I know packaging isn’t everything – but I’m obsessed with the retro print on the bottle!
