September Favourites and a Life Update

Hello friends – I hope this first week of October treats you well! It’s so crazy that we’re about to enter the final quarter of 2018 – where did this year go?! Anyway, you know how this goes – here are my favourites from September 2018!

Life News

We booked tickets for Disney On Ice. I know, I know, we’re going to Disneyland Paris in February but I simply COULD NOT WAIT for my Disney fix. The show we’re going to see is in November so we only have a few more weeks to wait!

Sadly that’s about the height of the life news this month – it’s been a quiet one but October is set to be SUPER busy.

Blogging News

This month I went to an event called Instagram With Influence in the Ormeau Baths, Belfast. The event was run by Cathy Martin and hosted by the lovely Tiffany Brien. I really enjoyed it and learned a LOT about editing photographs. It’s definitely motivated me to up my Instagram game.

I also had a social media/branding 1-2-1 session with Lucy from Only Just Media. I genuinely couldn’t recommend her enough, I’ve come away with some amazing ideas and the confidence to start my new project (more about that later!)

This month I’ve been…

Reading

BOOK – After hearing all about it at the Only Just Media Summit back in August, I bought Crushing It by Gary Vaynerchuk. I am LOVING this book so far. and there are LOADS of stories from people who have built up their own brands and businesses from scratch. Very inspiring and motivational.

Listening to..

This month I’ve been listening to podcasts non-stop! Some of my favourites are:

Discover DLP – A spin-off podcast from Disney After Dark dedicated to all things Disneyland Paris. I know this is taking my DLP excitement to the next level but I don’t even care. I want to be as well-informed about our trip as I can be so we get the most we can out of it!

The Gary Vee Audio Experience – Guys, I’ve told you before and I’ve told you again. If you ever need some kind of motivational inspiration – get onto Gary Vee. Every time I listen to an episode of his podcast, I come away feeling like I can do anything.

Only Just Conversations – Lucy interviews people who have been successful in the social media world and shares their stories. Another one that just inspires me to DO BETTER.

Wearing

BPerfect Carnival Eyeshadow Palette

Make-Up – I had been DYING to get my hands on the Carnival palette by B Perfect Cosmetics since it came out but I kept telling myself that I didn’t need more eyeshadow! Since they were offering a discount code for their 6 year anniversary (yay!) – I took it as a sign and placed my order! The colour range and pigmentation is incredible and I’ve been having a lot of fun playing around with it.

Sweater is Adidas, bought from American Madness

Fashion – I got an amazing haul from American Madness when I attended their launch party. This oversized Adidas Regatta sweater was only £40. I’m obsessed.

Watching (TV)

We finished Line of Duty and now I don’t know what to do with myself. The cast of Line of Duty are still filming Season 5 now, so it’ll be a while before we get the next installment. If you haven’t seen it yet, there’s still time to catch up before the new season.

Looking Forward To…

October is my birthday month so I’m super excited about that. I’m also really excited about being able to wear autumn-coloured make-up without being judged for it! I love a dark maroon lip and you can’t really get away with it the same in the summer months.

I also have a really exciting BRAND NEW PROJECT which I’ll be launching/announcing on my blog’s birthday week. I can’t say too much about it now without giving the game away but I think you’ll love it as much as I do!

What have been your favourites this month? I’d love to hear them! Leave me a comment below or send me a message on my social media channels!

I working hard marketing and learning how to promote what I offer through social media. I am getting interest in my workshops it is now to convince them to register. I am offering both online and in person. I am just starting to do Facebook Live. I am thinking I might need to offer free short one hour free workshops. If you ever have time I would appreciate talking to you. You seem like you have great knowledge in how to market in our contemporary world. No matter what following you I feel inspired. Thank you.

Hi Roland, that’s so kind of you to say. We’re going to Disneyland Paris. I think free workshops are a good way to go to begin with to get people interested then once you’ve got their attention and trust, they will invest. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. All the best, Megan x

Hi Megan, I hope you have a fun trip. I have been to Disneyland twice in Los Angeles. I first went as a teenager and then a young adult. I have great memories. Thank you for your input. I gather you have a busy October. I will continue to appreciate any input from you. If you have time in November I would appreciate the opportunity to have a chat with you on Skype or Zoom. I recognize you are a busy woman and may not have time for this. If you don’t mind I will send you some queries once in awhile. However you can help is appreciated. Your blog is a great help in itself. I hope you will post some of your photos from your Disneyland trip. Roland
