My June Favourites and a Life Update

People seem to really like reading these type of posts – so I’m going to keep posting them.

June has been a little bit less eventful than May – which I’m so grateful for as I was totally exhausted by the end of last month!

Life News

I Started My New Job – This is probably the biggest thing in my life at the moment. Thankfully I think it’s going really well and my anxiety about it is getting less and less by the day. WIN.

Night at the Hilton – Amy’s birthday was last month and for her present I got her a night away at the Hilton Hotel in Templepatrick with Bed, Breakfast, a two-course dinner and a bottle of wine. We had an absolutely amazing time and we were treated like queens the whole time we were there. I’ll be sharing a full blog post about it this week so stay tuned for that!

Blogging News

I’ve been trying to get back “into” blogging again this month. When I got hacked it completely threw me off my groove and I’ve got to admit, I’ve struggled to get back into a proper blogging routine.

As a result I’ve decided not to be as strict with myself. I used to really push myself to post twice per week but at the moment I’m really busy and I’d rather post one really good piece of content per week than two rushed ones. I hope you all understand my decision and why I’ve had to make it!

Speaking of exciting content though, this month I’ve created some:

Sponsored Content: I got the chance to create some sponsored content for Father’s Day with Gifts Less Ordinary. I really love partnering up with brands and Gifts Less Ordinary were a dream to work with.

Now onto my favourites…

This month I’ve been…

Reading

BOOK – I haven’t actually been able to get a book finished at the moment but I’m reading Where Are You Now? by Mary Higgins Clark and really enjoying it. It’s a crime thriller which is right up my street.

BLOGS – My favourite blog that I’ve discovered this month is Nettle & Blackberry – I spent a whole afternoon binge-reading this gorgeous gal’s lifestyle and travel blog. Go show Imii some love!

Listening to..

I haven’t been listening to one particular artist this month but these are the three songs that I’ve been playing the most!

Roots – Alice Merton

Shotgun by George Ezra

2002 – Anne Marie

Wearing (Fashion)

Mickey Mouse t-shirt

I got this super cute t-shirt from Pull and Bear this month. More t-shirts is definitely the last thing I need but my mum said I’d regret not buying it so into my basket it went! Mickey Mouse is my favourite Disney character – I have so much Mickey merch it’s crazy – but one more thing won’t hurt – right?

I’ve also ordered this sweater from BooHoo’s Pride collection. I’m so excited to see one of my favourite brands supporting Pride so I just had to get involved!

Wearing (Beauty)

My favourite beauty item of the month has to be my Revolution Beauty Lipstick in the shade “Chauffeur”.

I featured this lipstick in my post about my summer beauty must-haves which you can read here:

Watching

Love Island! And who hasn’t been? I honestly think that anyone who says it’s rubbish has never watched it. I’ve been completely sucked in, just like last year. My favourites at the moment are Alex and Samira. I really hope both of them actually find someone in there because they’re both lovely genuine people.

I know it’s early days to say who I think should win but at the moment I’d rooting for Dani and Jack because they’ve been together since the first day and they’ve been loyal to each other the whole way along.

Looking forward to…

Our visit to York! We spontaneously booked a long weekend to York in July over the public holiday (in Northern Ireland we get 12th and 13th of July off as a public holiday!). I lived in York for 3 years while I was at university and I haven’t been back since so I’m super excited to see old friend, explore old haunts and show Amy a bit of what York is all about as she’s never been.

What have been your favourites this month? I’d love to hear them! Leave me a comment below or send me a message on my social media channels!
