I’ve seen a few bloggers doing this challenge recently. At first I was dreading doing it because it means adding up just how much the make-up on my face actually costs! It doesn’t seem like a lot when you’re only buying bits and pieces at a time, but as expected, it all adds up! Keep reading to find out my total but first, a little disclaimer:

Basically you have to add up the total cost of every beauty product that you use on your face on a daily basis. For the sake of clarity, I’ve gone for my weekend-day face as I don’t wear much make-up to work so that would be a very boring post!
Now let’s get started!
Brows – Freedom Make-Up Brow Pomade in “Dark Brown” – £5.00
Eye Primer – Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – £17.00
Eyeshadow – Kylie Cosmetics Kyshadow – “The Burgundy Palette” – $42.00 (£30.28)
Eyeliner – Make-Up Revolution Awesome Double Flick Eyeliner – £3.50
Mascara – Too Faced “Better Than Sex” Mascara – £19.00
Eyes Total: £74.78
Face Primer – Nivea For Men Sensitive Post-Shave Balm – £5.29
Foundation – Too Faced “Born This Way” Foundation – £29.00
Concealer – MAC Studio Conceal and Correct Duo in “Pale Yellow/Pale Pink” – £20.00
Powder -Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder in “Vanille 52” – £8.99
Bronzer – Benefit Cosmetics “Hoola” Bronzer – £24.50
Blush – Milani Baked Blush in “Luminoso” – £9.99
Highlight – Make-Up Obsession Highlight in “Moon” – £3.00
Face Total: £100.77
At the time I was writing this – I could not put my hand to the Candy K lipliner so I’ve substituted with this New Look one which is the exact same colour!
Lips Total: £20.50
And the grand total is: £196.05
As you can see, I use a real mix of drugstore and high-end products so I guess the total isn’t quite as bad as it could’ve been if I’d used entirely high-end! It sounds silly but I actually didn’t realise just how many different products I use just to create one look!
This challenge was pretty fun to do and like I said, I haven’t been buying make-up as much as I used to, so it won’t really influence what I buy overall. I’ll probably just keep replacing these products as they run out and only treat myself to something new if I REALLY, REALLY want it.
If you decide to do this challenge yourself, leave me your link in the comments box or send me a message on social media. I would love to see your results!
