Hello friends – I hope this first week of September 2018 treats you well! It’s so crazy that we’re about to enter the final quarter of 2018 – where did this year go?!

August was relatively quiet on the life news front for me, apart from one thing: WE BOOKED A TRIP TO DISNEYLAND PARIS!! I really and truly could not be more excited about this. Even though we don’t leave for another 6 months, I’ve done a ridiculous amount of planning and research and I’ll keep doing it until we get there!
Once again, this month I’ve been focussing on growing my Instagram account. I hit 1000 followers – which was actually my goal for the end of September so I’m delighted to have hit that so early!
I also took over the Blog Passion Project Instagram account for a week which was SO much fun. During that week I connected with so many amazing bloggers. It’s made me want to do more takeovers in the future.
If you’re not already following me on Instagram, why not? Find me at: @MsMegan91, drop me a DM and let me know you came from my blog and I’ll follow you back!
Finally, I went to the Only Just Media summit in the Titanic Hotel, Belfast. This was a truly amazing event that brought brands and creators together- I feel so lucky to have been a part of it and I left the summit feeling SUPER inspired!
This beautiful flower wall was created by Flower Walls NI – I couldn’t resist getting a photo!
Now onto my favourites…
This month I’ve been…
BOOK – I’m still reading “Just Haven’t Met You Yet” by Cate Woods. It’s very different to the type of books that I would usually read. I normally would choose to read crime novels or thrillers but I decided to give this one a go. I’m glad I did. Cate Woods writing style is brilliant, it feels as if you’re having a conversation with the main character, Percy. I’m only a few chapters in and I’ve already laughed out loud more than once so it’s a good sign!
Older by Sarah McCreedy – this gal is an up and coming artist from Northern Ireland – super talented and a really lovely person too. Go check her out!
My favourite clothing item I got this month is my green Mickey Mouse flying jacket. The main body of the jacket is suade and the arms are leather. I bought this jacket on Depop for £40 which was an absolute STEAL.
Love Island Series 2! Ok, so our mission to branch out and watch something new completely failed. I must say, season 2 is DRAMATIC. Honestly it makes seasons 3 and 4 look so tame. If you haven’t watched it already, I would highly recommend it.
We managed to finish season 2 of Love Island in a matter of weeks, so we’ve started watching a show called Line of Duty – it’s a BBC Police drama (Fun Fact: Filmed in Belfast!) It’s really compelling viewing so far.
I’m not a huge movie-watcher or cinema-goer but this month I went to the cinema twice. I ended up loving both the films we saw. Our local cinema has half-price tickets on a Tuesday, so really it’s rude if you don’t go.
The first film we saw was Mamma Mia 2. I wasn’t convinced that I was going to love it, as sequels are rarely as good as the original. A lot of people have said that they prefer the second film but I still think the first one was best. The storyline for Mamma Mia 2 was great, I just didn’t know as many of the songs which took a bit of the fun-factor out of it for me.
The second film we saw was Christopher Robin. As a hardcore Disney fan – there was no way I was going to miss this. It was possibly the cutest movie I’ve ever seen. I’m a bit of a gurn anyway but I ended up crying every time something cute happened.
What have been your favourites this month? I’d love to hear them! Leave me a comment below or send me a message on my social media channels!
