We all have those days when everything just feels… off. You’re tired, you’re frustrated, and when you look yourself in the mirror you’re not all that pleased with the reflection. You seem to forget about all those sweet little details that make you so pretty and unique and focus solely on the flaws that now seem too big to manage. It seems like you’ve lost your mojo and it’s making you feel insecure. But what can you do? Get it back, of course! Ladies, it’s time to grab our confidence back, it’s time to enjoy every inch of our beauty. Simply put, it’s time to slay. Let’s be fierce together with the help of some easy tips.
Take a Long, Hot Bath
The first thing you want to do is relax, and there’s no better way to do that than simply lounging in a hot bubble bath. Make sure you prepare it properly – you see, it’s not just a bath, it’s a ritual. Pour in some bath salts, some essential oils. Light a few candles if you like, maybe even grab a glass of wine. When you’re frustrated and displeased with your appearance, the first step is getting rid of that negative mood that just won’t let you remember all the awesome things about yourself. So yes, take some time to simply close your eyes, enjoy the warmth, the nice scents, to let the tension leave your muscles. Then you can start thinking about other things.
Exercise Your Way to Feeling Good
Another great way to release all the pent-up tension is to work out. If you work out regularly then simply up your game and exercise for longer. If you’re a beginner and keep trying to convince yourself to start now’s the time – yes, right now. Not tomorrow, or when you’re less tired. It’s right now, when you feel useless and frustrated. Even a long walk or a simple set of at-home exercises will help a ton because you’ll get rid of that negative energy and you’ll be aware that you’ve done something to focus on yourself.
Take a New Approach to Diet
Don’t think in terms of calories, scales, and dress sizes. Think more in terms of health and what will make you feel good, what will, in the long run, give you energy and willpower and joy. Instead of staring at the cookie jar and feeling sad that you can’t have any (or eating them and then feeling sad that you’ve eaten them), why not get up and bake your own healthy version of cookies? Here are a few cool recipes, now go and have fun. Diets aren’t supposed to be miserable.
Pamper Yourself With Good Products
Mmm, nothing gives us a more decadent pleasure than some good beauty products. Cleansers, scrubs, moisturizers – why not grab your favourite things and indulge in some pampering? Fresh Start Kit by ASAP Skincare have all the little things you’ll need for a beauty day, so cleanse and soothe your way back to that glowing skin. Skincare is super important, and we recommend that you be consistent and care for your face every day, even if you’re really tired.
When in Doubt – Put on a Sheet Mask
When your skin feels particularly dull and lacking that healthy lustre, it’s time for a good face mask. Dr Jart sheet masks are famously fun and good for your skin, but you can also stick to drugstore brand masks. They have a wide range that covers all skin types. A sheet mask is the perfect quick way to get refreshed and bring some radiance to your complexion.
Stabilize your Sleep Schedule
Don’t drink coffee in the evening, and don’t keep staring at your phone or computer before you’re supposed to be in bed. The glare of our electronic screens has the tendency to keep us alert even when we’re very tired, so leave your phone aside at least an hour before bed and try to read a book or flip through a magazine instead.
And above all, be kind to yourself. Beauty largely comes from confidence and putting yourself down constantly will diminish your self-esteem. Don’t rely on others to compliment you, instead do it yourself. You’re a beautiful, fierce queen and don’t you dare forget that. Put yourself first for a few moments and grab that beauty mojo right back.
