As we enter the final month of 2017 (where did that year go?!) I thought I’d share my favourite songs that I’ve been listening to this year. You can see that not all of these songs were released in 2017 but they’re the ones that I’ve had on repeat all year!
Heart Full of Scars – Rebecca Black
I don’t think I’ll ever be done telling people how much I love Rebecca Black. I thought “The Great Divide” was good – this is better.
Wait a Minute! – Willow Smith
Not a 2017 tune but I’m still listening to it daily since I discovered it last year.
Loaded Guns – Lucy Spraggan
A super cute and catchy song from Lucy’s latest album “I Hope You Don’t Mind Me Writing”
Need Ur Luv – Charli XCX
This was a recommendation I got from Rebecca Black’s YouTube channel (told you I’m a bit obsessed with her) but it’s been one of my most-played songs this year.
Anywhere – Rita Ora
Between this one and Your Song – Rita is still one of my favourite artists and someone I really want to see live in 2018.
I Could Change Ur Life – Gnash
Not a genre I would normally listen to but I came across this on a “My Favourite Songs You’ve Never Heard” YouTube video. The lyrics are adorable.
YOUTH – Troye Sivan
Troye Sivan and this song were another 2016 discovery that I haven’t been able to stop playing all year round.
Seeing Stars – BØRNS
It was so hard to pick just one BØRNS song to feature in this list. If you like this one, I’d also recommend “Fools Gold” which is a duet with Dagny.
Ultraviolet – Dagny
Speaking of Dagny – this is my favourite song from her Ultraviolet EP. Another artist I would love to catch live in 2018.
Heaven In Hiding – Halsey
I thought it would be hard to top her last album but Halsey didn’t disappoint. This is my favourite track from her latest album “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom”
Save Me, San Francisco – Train
This song was in my “Discover Weekly” playlist on Spotify, really catchy and it makes me want to dance!
Bulls – The Cat Empire
This is a last-minute addition to my list as I only discovered this EPIC band this week. Their music is so chill and reminds me of something you would hear at a festival.
