The Best Drugstore Make-Up Products 2017

A few weeks ago I posted about my favourite high-end beauty products (read it here if you haven’t already!) I’m now going to share with you some drugstore products I couldn’t be without!

L’Oreal Brow Artiste Plumper

This is an amazing dupe for Benefit’s “Gimme Brow”. I’ve tried out both products and I would say that L’Oreal’s version is just as good – if not better – at giving your brows a fuller and more shapely look. Plus, it’s a fraction of the price at only £6.99. The applicator is just like a mascara wand  and you only need a very small amount of the product on your ward to create maximum effect. The only thing I will say is that I use the shade Medium-Dark which is the darkest shade available. My natural eyebrows are not that dark – so if you have naturally dark brow – this might not be the product for you.

Make-Up Obsession Highlighter in the Shade “Moon”

This lavender highlight is a beautiful colour for pale skin and it looks amazing when it catches the light. The high pigmentation means a little bit of the product goes a long way. You can pick this up in Boots for £3.00.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the shade “Milk”

I love this product because it can be used for a number of different purposes. It can be used as an eyeshadow or an eyeliner (which I believe are the two purposes it was designed for!) However, I have also used it as an eyeshadow primer. I’ve found that when applied directly on the lids and then topped with regular eyeshadow it really helps to make colours “pop”.  I have also used it to highlight the inner-corners of my eyes to great the illusion of bigger eyes. With so many options – it’s a great investment at £5.00

I Heart Make-Up – I Heart Chocolate Palette

This palette is a close-to-perfect dupe for the original Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. I could write for days about how much I love Too Faced’s products but this is the perfect solution if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on one palette.  The palette has a solid mix of mattes and shimmers and each shadow is highly pigmented.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in the shade “Cherry Skies”

I’m so happy that Autumn is finally here so that I can wear this gorgeous burgundy shade again. Unlike lot of liquid lipsticks – the formula is more hydrating than drying. The only downside is that it does take around 4 minutes to settle onto the lips. Saying that, once it’s on, it’s on for hours.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these, or leave me a recommendation of your favourite drugstore products. I love reading your comments!

  1. I have tried the NYX cream lippie and loved it for if I was running out for some quick errands and didn’t want to wear lipstick all day. That brow pump looks great. Got to try that next!

    1. I think since the whole Beauty industry on YouTube etc blew up – drugstore brands have really upped their game! Thank you so much for reading x

  2. I haven’t tried any of these yet. I do love a handful of drugstore products. I could spend $1000 on beauty products anywhere, drugstore, Sephora, Ulta, etc. I’m a junkie hah!
